NYSE-listed business process outsourcing firm WNS (Holdings) Ltd has appointed John Freeland to the companyâs board of directors, taking the total number of members on its board to nine, including eight non-executive directors.
The appointment become effective from September 1, 2014, the company said in the press release.
âJohn brings to WNS a wealth of experience in the solutions and services business, and we look forward to benefitting from his unique perspective and valuable insights,â said Adrian T Dillon, chairman of the board.
Prior to his appointment at WNS, Freeland was president and CEO at Information Resources Inc, which is an information, insights and decision solutions services provider.
Before that, he worked with salesforce.com as president for worldwide operations and also as managing partner at Accenture in the areas of global insurance and global customer relationship management. At Accenture, where he spent 26 years, he was also appointed a member of its executive committee.
With over 200 clients globally, WNS offers services across various industry verticals including travel, insurance, banking and financial services, manufacturing, retail and consumer packaged goods, shipping and logistics and healthcare and utilities.
As of June 30, 2014, WNS had 27,760 professionals across 34 delivery centres worldwide including China, Costa Rica, India, Philippines, Poland, Romania, South Africa, Sri Lanka, the UK and the US.
