Mumbai-based mid-market investment banking firm o3 Capital Global Advisory Pvt. Ltd has appointed investment banker Anjani Kumar as managing director. This is the firm’s first external appointment for the position in five years.

Prior to Kumar, investment banker Devyani Khanvilkar served as o3 Capital's MD for six months between September 2013 and March 2014.

Kumar’s appointment is a part of the banking firm’s plans to expand its corporate finance expertise, the company said in a statement. At o3, Kumar will drive cross-border and M&A initiatives, along with front-leading large corporate relationships for the firm.
