A renewed focus on digital transformation has propelled India’s IT services sector to new heights in the past year-and-a-half.

Indian software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms too have attracted investor attention and are poised to command nearly 7-9% of the global SaaS market by 2022, according to a report by Bain & Company.

With these tailwinds, the timing is right for tier-2 IT firms and Indian SaaS companies to woo global customers.

In a panel discussion at the VCCircle Technology Investment Summit 2021, P Srikar Reddy, managing director and CEO of Sonata Software; Virender Aggarwal, CEO of Ramco Systems; Akshat Babbar, vice president of Chryscapital; Imran Jafar, managing partner of Gaja Capital; and Nilesh Patel, CEO of LeadSquared talk about the challenges of scaling an Indian business for global audiences.

The panelists also talk about keeping up with changes in the sector, building strong IP and aggressive marketing to make good of the favourable times.
