Saama Capital’s Ash Lilani on being a contrarian VC, shake up in angel funding

Saama Capital, which was founded by venture capital industry veterans Ash Lilani and Suresh Shanmugham, announced the final close of its third fund at $57 million last month. The VC firm has backed a number of companies including Snapdeal, Paytm, Naaptol and BlueStone, and has exited companies such as Tutorvista, Prizm Payments, Sula Vineyards, Applabs and SKS Microfinance.
