Prior to joining Edelweiss, he was working with the HDFC Bank where, during his 15-year-long stint, he managed a team of 50 senior advisors in the bank’s private banking business.
His appointment comes four months after the company roped in Ashish Tripathi from Ernst & Young (E&Y) as head of investment banking – TMTE (telecom, media, technology and entertainment) vertical of the company.
Mumbai-based Edelweiss functions through four clusters—credit, financial markets & asset management, life insurance and commodities. The firm has 211 offices in 115 cities in India and abroad, and employs over 4,000 people.
