New York based merchant bank Emissary Capital Group has launched an investment fund to invest in Indian and Chinese companies. Emissary has launched a multistrategy fund which will have a hybrid investment strategy targeting both private equity style investing and U.S. and India listed public equities. The fund will focus on small and medium-sized businesses with core operations in China and India.
The firm has also announced new research initiatives under Albert Lee, who recently joined the firm as a Managing Director and Head of Research. The firm has offices in New York City and New Delhi, India.
Emissary focuses on emerging growth companies from China and India, and provides services as financing, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions and strategic business services.
