India Limited Partners Summit to shape the discourse on investment outlook in 2017

NEW DELHI/MUMBAI, February 10, 2017: News Corp VCCircle today announced that the India Limited Partners Summit 2017, an annual platform to discuss important issues facing the investor community in Asia Pacific, will be held in Mumbai on March 1-2, 2017. The India Limited Partners Summit is the country's premier alternative investments conference, organised to identify global and local trends for Asia-focused investors.

The premier summit, titled Alternative Investment Funds in Asia: Finding the silver lining in the emerging markets, will bring together India’s leading PE funds, top global and Indian LPs, and other major players in the private equity ecosystem under one roof.

This year’s summit, to be held at the Taj Lands End hotel, will discuss whether investors will be bullish or bearish towards India in the light of major global, regional and local developments. The summit will also be a forum to discuss the ramifications of the US presidential elections, Britain’s decision to leave the European Union, and the impact the slowing down of China and Indonesia may have on investments in India. Besides, the summit will discuss whether India’s growth prospects remain good after demonetisation, and how international developments are likely to have an impact on the Indian economy.

Over 300 speakers and 2,100 participants have attended the summit over the past seven years. Every year, the summit brings together India’s leading private equity funds (general partners or GPs), top global and Indian limited partners (LPs), and other major players in the private equity ecosystem under one roof to mull over the major issues facing investors in the region.

The agenda of the summit includes important sessions on issues such as LPs’ expectations from the NDA government, the effect of the Union Budget on investors at a micro and macro level, the evolution of roles LPs and GPs play in a deal, the role Indian GPs can play in attracting LPs, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) risk and the best practices to hedge it, and the deployment dilemma for the Indian VCs.

The two-day summit will have interactive panel discussions, breakout sessions and keynotes from major players in the industry to help the attendees develop both practical and strategic knowledge while building on their professional network.
