Cloud telephony startup Exotel Techcom Pvt Ltd has acquired Voyce, a platform that allows businesses to gather customer feedback, for an undisclosed amount, according to a statement.

Bangalore-based Exotel aims to strengthen its customer service offerings through the acquisition.

This is Exotel's second acquisition this year. Earlier this year, it acquired Singapore’s voice-based social media startup

As part of the latest deal, Voyce co-founders Varun Raj and Nikhil Kumar will join Exotel where they will lead the alliances and partnerships efforts.

The duo had founded Voyce in 2014 along with Arun Raj, Satendra Singh and Sushil Shah. The firm enables businesses to engage with customers in real time through their on-premise feedback systems. It claims to have worked with about 20 hospitality chains in the country.

Before founding Voyce, Nikhil and Varun worked together to manage Tally's strategic alliances. Nikhil later moved to Intuit to manage partnerships and Varun went on to redesign Tally's partner framework.

Exotel was launched four years ago by Shivakumar Ganesan, who teamed up with Ishwar Sridharan, Siddharth Ramesh and Vijay Sharma to start the venture. Sharma quit the company last year.

BITS Pilani alumnus Ganeshan, who is also the Exotel's CEO, had earlier launched Roopit, a real-time micro classifieds platform integrated with voice and SMS. Before becoming an entrepreneur, he had worked with Yahoo! and Flipkart.

Exotel enables companies to manage customers on inbound voice calls and text messages without setting up a full-fledged call centre. Its clients include taxi aggregator Ola, lifestyle retailer Zivame and bus-ticketing firm RedBus.
