Mumbai-based , which offers a SaaS-based user behaviour and targeting tool under the same name, has raised an undisclosed amount in funding from Accel Partners, WizRocket’s co-founder and CTO Anand Jain told VCCircle.

“This is (our) Series Seed funding. We're not disclosing the amount as of yet. We're going to use the funds to roll out the product globally to a larger set of customers,” Jain added.

The startup was founded in July last year by the trio of Sunil Thomas, Anand Jain and Suresh Kondamudi – all previously worked at Network18. A University of Washington alumnus, Thomas was earlier CTO at Infospace Inc. Jain was previously CTO of local search site Burrp.com. In the past, he had also worked at Motorola and ATT Wireless. Kondamudi is an IIT Madras alumnus and had previously worked at Qwest Software and JiGrahak Mobility Solutions.

WizRocket is a SaaS-based analytics tool that helps websites measure and improve user engagement, visit frequency, retention and conversion. It also enables web businesses to do web messaging, push notifications, in-app messaging and reach out to customers via SMS or e-mail.

Simply put, WizRocket lets web businesses discover people, events and behaviour on their websites and mobile apps, and then apply the behaviour targeting to improve retention, engagement and conversion rates.

“We're currently in private Beta and are working closely with 25 select global customers. We're planning to be publicly available by September this year,” Jain noted.

The company has 10 employees.
