Anil Ambani-led Reliance Capital Ltd has appointed Anand Natarajan as chief operating officer.

Natarajan will work closely with executive director Anmol Ambani in ensuring the smooth functioning of the group’s operations, develop synergies across businesses and drive performance, the company said in a stock-exchange disclosure.

Natarajan has three decades of experience in consumer, retail and wholesale banking operations and large-scale process and people integration, it said.

He is a chartered accountant. In his earlier job, he was head of strategy and business execution at non-banking financial company Fullerton India. He was chief operating officer at ANZ Indonesia before joining Fullerton. Natarajan worked with financial services giant Standard Chartered for 24 years.
