PwC’s Rana Mehta on single-specialty healthcare models, valuations and more

A bunch of single-specialty healthcare firms have attracted significant private equity and venture capital funding in recent years.

The single-specialty model benefits from low capital expenditure, shorter gestation period and operational efficiency, says Rana Mehta, partner and leader of healthcare practice at consulting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in an interaction with VCCTV. He also talks about the single-specialty themes that have outpaced others, consolidation in the multispecialty segment as well as valuations.
