Equirus hires Veda Corp’s Abhishek Gupta to head healthcare vertical

Mumbai-based investment bank Equirus Capital Pvt. Ltd has appointed Veda Corporate Advisors Pvt. Ltd’s Abhishek Gupta as a director.

“The healthcare space has seen lot of traction over the past two years, especially in the mid-market segment and with Abhishek coming on board, Equirus will become a dominant player in this segment,” said Ajit Deshmukh, head, investment banking, and managing director, Equirus Capital.

Gupta, an 18-year industry veteran, will head the investment bank’s healthcare and pharmaceuticals vertical, Equirus said in a statement. Besides healthcare, Gupta has dabbled in the manufacturing, infrastructure, dairy, food and restaurants sectors.
