Law firm DSK Legal has hired former Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas partners Kirat Singh Nagra and Rishi Anand in Delhi, the firm said in a statement.
Separately, law firm Trilegal appointed Arjun Ghose as a partner in its Bengaluru office, the firm said in a statement.
Nagra and Anand will join DSK Legal as partners along with the teams that worked with them at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.
Nagra has experience in a wide range of dispute resolution matters, including arbitrations (international and domestic), commercial/corporate disputes, white-collar crime cases, and tax and regulatory litigation. Nagra’s team, which joins DSK Legal, includes associate partners Kartik Yadav and Pranav Vyas and senior associate Neha Sarna.
Anand is a corporate lawyer with experience in private equity, mergers, acquisitions, disposals, foreign direct investments, joint ventures, restructuring and general corporate work. Anand’s team, which joins DSK Legal, includes principal associates Nakul Batra and Jintendra Soni and senior associate Chirag Jain.
Founded in 2001, DSK Legal has offices in Mumbai, Pune and New Delhi.
Arjun Ghose had been a partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas.
Ghose, who specialises in structured finance, debt restructuring, insolvency and private equity, will deal with corporate practice.
Ghose studied at National Law School of India University in Bengaluru.
With Ghose’s appointment, Trilegal’s partnership strength now stands at 44.
“Ghose’s varied focus will bring greater depth to our corporate capabilities in Bengaluru and build our strength more specifically in the areas in which he has deep experience (distress, structured finance, restructuring/insolvency and private equity),” said Rahul Matthan, partner at Trilegal.
Founded in 2000, Trilegal has offices in Mumbai, New Delhi, Gurugram and Bengaluru.
Its practice areas includes corporate, mergers and acquisitions, financial services, telecom, media and technology, energy and infrastructure, disputes, competition, capital markets, employment, real estate and taxation.
Trilegal has been increasing its partnership strength.
In March 2018, Trilegal promoted two of its counsel, Soumya Hariharan and Arnav Dayal, to equity partners. Hariharan became a partner for competition law practice while Dayal became a partner for corporate practice.
