Buyout opportunities in India are rising as more global alternative investment firms are focusing on the country while many family-run businesses are realising the value of having an international partner to expand. But does India have enough opportunities to sustain this trend? Which sectors will see more opportunities and what role local partners can play to make such deals happen?

Anuj Ranjan, managing partner for the Middle East and South Asia at Brookfield Asset Management, and Parth Gandhi, managing director at AION Global, discussed these issues during a fireside chat at the News Corp VCCircle Limited Partners Summit 2017, held in Mumbai last month.
