US-based advisory firm Alvarez & Marsal has expanded its presence in India with the launch of its New Delhi office, 10 years after entering the country.
The company has appointed Nitin Jain and Vivek Kamra as managing directors to lead its performance improvement and restructuring business in the national capital region and north India, it said in a press release.
In his previous job, Kamra was president at JK Tyre & Industries. He holds a degree in metallurgical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, and worked with Tata Group companies for nearly two decades. Jain was previously the CEO and managing director at woolen fabric maker OCM Pvt. Ltd.
The company said that, since opening its Mumbai office in 2008, it has expanded from a restructuring and turnaround consulting firm to add five dedicated business units. These units include corporate and private equity performance improvement, commercial, financial and operations due diligence, and disputes and investigations.
