Simplismart, an artificial intelligence infrastructure firm, has secured $14 million (around Rs 133 crore) in a Series B funding round led by Dallas Venture Capital, a cross-border venture capital firm with a presence in the US and India.
Existing investors NVIDIA, Accel, Shastra VC, and Micromax also participated in the round.
The Bengaluru-based startup will use the fresh capital to strengthen its AI inference platform, expand partnerships with cloud providers and sovereign AI initiatives, and grow its presence in North America and other global markets, it said in a statement.
“We have spent four years building the software layer between the model and the GPU, helping customers optimise how their workloads are deployed and operated. This funding will allow us to take that platform to more enterprises and cloud providers globally,” said Amritanshu Jain, co-founder and chief executive of Simplismart.
The funding comes as the company reports a 14-fold increase in its annualised revenue run rate over the past six months. It did not disclose its revenue base or absolute revenue run rate.
Founded in 2022 by Jain and Devansh Ghatak, Simplismart builds software that helps enterprises deploy and run AI models on graphics processing units (GPUs), optimising the cost, speed and performance of AI applications.
It offers a full-stack AI infrastructure platform for fine-tuning, deploying, optimising, benchmarking, observing, and scaling AI models in production through a proprietary inference engine and orchestration layer.
“The new funding will also support our work towards a dynamic GPU scheduling layer that can match AI workloads with available computing capacity across regions and time zones, helping cloud providers make better use of their GPU infrastructure,” said Ghatak, co-founder and chief technology officer of Simplismart.
Its customers include AI video-generation platforms HeyGen, Higgsfield and InVideo, logistics platform Shiprocket, jobs platform Apna, and enterprise AI company Ema.
“Inferencing is emerging as one of the biggest game-changers in AI economics,” said Dayakar Puskoor, managing partner at Dallas Venture Capital. “We are backing this fast-growing company because of its proven technical prowess in addressing a critical need in the AI infrastructure ecosystem globally, as well as the strong execution capabilities of its founding team.”
Simplismart previously raised $7 million in a Series A funding round in October 2024. The round was led by Accel, with participation from Shastra VC, Titan Capital and angel investors, including Akshay Kothari, co-founder of Notion.
