Accel Partners invests $18M in BookMyShow

Venture capital firm Accel Partners has invested Rs 100 crore ($18 million) to buy a large minority stake in Big Tree Entertainment Pvt Ltd, which runs movie and event ticketing website BookMyShow, through a mix of primary share issue and sale of shares by existing investor Network18 Media & Investments.

what a waste of money by International Investors, the guys who sold will launch another website and drive the traffic away.

Plus Rs 100 crore for stakes for entertainment website (no ground assets / value) which acts only as a broker for others shows / events.

good news for other websites.
