Yuvraj Singh’s YouWeCan Ventures invests in Startup Buddy

Gurgaon-based Startup Buddy Services Pvt. Ltd, a one-stop solution provider for early-stage businesses, has raised an undisclosed amount from cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s YouWeCan Ventures, a statement said.

As part of the transaction, Singh will join the board of Startup Buddy, Amit Singal, its co-founder, said in the press note.

“They [Startup Buddy] understand the needs of [the] younger generation who are building businesses and are the first port of call for many first-generation entrepreneurs,” Singh said.

Founded by chartered accountants Manish Aggarwal and Amit Singal in 2015, Startup Buddy provides support functions such as incorporation, accounting and taxation, secretarial compliance, legal assistance and project advisory to startups in India and abroad.

Besides, it helps entrepreneurs raise funding from angel Investors, venture capital funds and private equity firms.

In its two years of operations, Startup Buddy has served over 120 startups, including Innerchef, Scoopwhoop, Internshala, Silverpush, Deyor, Gamezop, Coho, QDesq, Mamaearth, Better Butter, Burger Singh and Trupay, at various stages of business. It is also working with several funds to provide deal structuring, due diligence and business advisory workshops for portfolio companies.

Singh launched the $10-million seed-stage fund YouWeCan in 2015 to back internet startups in the country.

Some of YouWeCan's portfolio companies include online beauty services venture Vyomo, logistics startup Moovo, healthcare startup Healthians, online marketplace for chartered jets JetSetGo, automotive service marketplace Cartisan and sports startup SportyBeans.
