Bangalore-headquartered digital marketing technology company has raised Series B funding of $9 million, led by Nokia Growth Partners, while current investors Ojas Venture Partners and Inventus Capital Partners also took part in the round. Existing angel investors, who led the seed round, also remain invested in the company.

Post-funding, Anupam Rastogi, principal at NGP Advisors India, will be joining Vizury’s board.

The money raised will be utilised to strengthen the company’s presence across Asia, Australia and South America, and step up R&D efforts and product innovations, a company release said.

“The capital infusion will allow us to accelerate our investments in R&D, bring new products to market and establish ourselves as clear leaders in the space. Having Nokia Growth Partners, Inventus and Ojas will be invaluable as we make the next big leap,” said Chetan Kulkarni, co-founder and CEO of Vizury.

Set up in 2008, Vizury has presence across 14 countries with offices in China, Singapore and Australia as well. Its retargeting solution called Visitor Relationship Management (VRM) is most relevant for e-commerce and online travel companies. Vizury’s key clients include players like Snapdeal, Jabong, MakeMyTrip, Virgin Airlines, Expedia, Jet Airways, Cleartrip and many other leading players globally. The company had raised angel funding in March 2009 and Series A round in October 2010.

Commenting on the investment, John Gardner, managing partner at Nokia Growth Partners (US), said, “With this investment, we reinforce NGP’s commitment to invest in the global advertising technology space.”
