Private equity firm TA Associates invested about $25.5 million in drugmaker Shilpa Medicare in one of the top funding deals during the week gone by.

In another deal, Guwahati-based RGVN North East Microfinance raised $21.5 million from SIDBI Venture Capital, Tata Trustee Company, IDBI Bank and other investors. The latest investment will help the microlender in meeting the Reserve Bank of India’s criteria for setting up a payments bank.

Among M&A deals, Spanish roads operator Abertis entered the Indian market with the acquisition of two road assets – Trichy Tollway and Jadcherla Expressways – for about Rs 905 crore.
