Squadron Capital’s investment director Anand RP quits

Anand Ramachandran Prasanna, known in the industry as Anand RP, has resigned from his post as investment director at the Asia-focused fund of funds Squadron Capital. Anand, who is now on garden leave till mid-December, will be joining another private equity fund of fund and will be based in Asia.

The move comes weeks after Squadron was acquired by US-based FLAG Capital Management LLC, a private capital investment manager with $4.5 billion under management.

Anand worked with Squadron Capital for nearly five years and evaluated investments in Asian markets, with focus on India. Prior to joining Squadron Capital in March 2008, he was working with Sequoia Capital’s Indian investment team, based in Bangalore. Earlier, Anand had worked with the global management consulting firm McKinsey & Company. He was then based in Delhi, but had assignments across the Asia-Pacific region.

Anand is also an angel investor and funded Taxiguide, a Bangalore-based online car rental service. He holds an MBA from the FORE School of Management, Delhi, and a BBA from the University of Kerala.
