Signal Hill opens second office in India, ropes in Nitin Bhatia to lead Mumbai team

US-headquartered independent advisory firm Signal Hill has opened its second office in the country in Mumbai as part of its expansion and to enhance the client coverage. It has also roped in Nitin Bhatia as director to lead the Mumbai office, the company said in a release.

Bhatia, who has over 13 years of client advisory experience, joined the firm from Edelweiss Financial Services where he was serving as an associate director. At Signal Hill India, he will be responsible for TMT investment banking.

In his previous stint, Bhatia has closed strategic M&A transactions and private capital raises across several TMT sub-sectors, including technology, services (IT/BPO), digital media and education. He has advised on closed transactions with an aggregate enterprise value of more than $600 million. He has also worked with firms like Centrum Capital, Inductis and ECS in the past.

Bhatia completed his MBA from IIM Ahmedabad after graduating with BTech from Institute of Technology, BHU.

"Nitin will continue to build our franchise through his domain expertise and key relationships in the TMT and education space, as well as through his strong relationships with key financial sponsors. This move will help us continue to create greater outcomes for our clients by tapping into the full spectrum of Signal Hill’s deep domain knowledge and expertise,” Klaas Oskam, Signal Hill India’s managing director, said.
