India's Brigade Enterprises expects its projects will create 23,000 jobs in the next three years as it plans a 400-billion-rupee ($4.13 billion) investment in the country, the luxury real estate developer said on Thursday.
Investment in India's commercial real estate market is surging as the country posts record office leasing rates, with demand driven by multinational companies setting up global tech hubs.
The company will develop around 40 million square feet across its domestic market spanning residential communities, office spaces, retail destinations and hotels.
The developer said it has secured licenses for three new World Trade Centers — large commercial complexes that serve as hubs for international trade, business and retail — with two in Bengaluru and one in Coimbatore.
Alongside its mainstay businesses, Brigade's planned investment will also target emerging segments like warehousing, where demand has surged as e-commerce and quick commerce companies rush to secure inventory storage.
Brigade has also benefited from India's affluent buyer-led housing boom, with strong demand for premium homes in markets like Bengaluru supporting higher prices and luxury-focused projects.
