Reliance Communications Ltd (RCom), the telecom firm promoted by Anil Ambani-led Reliance Group, has appointed Tulip Telecom's Deepak Khanna as CEO, India Enterprise, as per a stock market disclosure.

Khanna has 25 years of experience, including one-and-a-half decades of experience in the telecom sector.

Prior to joining RCom, he worked with Tulip Telecom as joint chief executive officer (CEO) for one-and-a-half years, and before Tulip, he worked with Bharti Airtel as director and CEO of the broadband and telephone services unit.

Khanna, who holds an MBA degree from Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, Pune, has also worked with the companies like Escotel Mobile Communications Ltd and DSS Mobile at senior positions.

Khanna, who resigned from Tulip in June this year, said, "Reliance is ideally positioned in the enterprises domain, already serving over 45,000 large, medium and small enterprises, including nearly 850 of the top 1,000 corporates in India. We see exciting growth potential in the enterprise business in the years ahead, and expect to register 30 per cent compounded growth per year in this space in both revenues and profitability over five years."
