Paediatric healthcare startup Primerry and beauty brand Amaani have secured funding in early-stage rounds, the companies said on Monday.
Paediatric healthcare brand Primerry has raised Rs 7.1 crore (around $760,000) in a pre-seed round that saw participation from Ashish Kacholia and Lashit Sanghvi, along with angel investors Mohit Sadaani, Hitesh Dhingra, Ajay Mehra and Samir Palod, and select family offices.
The company, founded by Rushabh Nandu and Nihar Parekh, plans to use the fresh funds to strengthen its R&D pipeline, build its founding team and expand distribution across key markets in India.
Primerry will roll out its products in phases, with a full range of eight stock keeping units (SKUs), priced between Rs 499 and Rs 1,499, to be sold through its own D2C platform. A quick-commerce rollout is planned within the first year.
The company has also launched PocDoc, a customisable carry case designed to hold Primerry essentials. It will also build an offline presence via pharmacies, paediatric clinics and mom-and-baby specialty stores, starting with tier I cities and metros.
Middle Eastern beauty brand Amaani has raised $5 million (Rs 47.9 crore) in a Series A funding round led by BECO Capital, with participation from Homegrown Ventures and Peak XV's Surge.
Founded in Dubai and launched in December 2024 by Shubham Poddar, Amaani’s first brand AÏZA is a skincare and haircare brand inspired by the ingredients, rituals and spirit of Arabia. Its products reinterpret regional ingredients, including dates, black seed, frankincense, rose and bakhoor, through modern beauty formulation, with products developed in laboratories across Korea, Japan and Italy.
The company plans to expand its beauty brand AÏZA across Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar, while continuing to invest in product development, talent and technology infrastructure.
Saudi Arabia will be the priority market in the next phase of expansion. AÏZA is set to launch at Ulta Beauty outlets at Red Sea Mall in Jeddah and Riyadh Park in Riyadh at the end of September, with Kuwait and Qatar expected to follow in the fourth quarter.
