Shashank ND founded Bangalore-based digital healthcare platform Practo Technologies Pvt. Ltd in 2008. Today, the company has 1,500-2,000 employees. It runs a doctor appointment site and offers an ad platform to clinics, hospitals, and diagnostic centres.
Practo has so far secured $179 million in funding from investors including China’s Tencent. At the ninth edition of News Corp VCCircle Healthcare Investment Summit, held in Mumbai on September 18-19, Shashank talked about the creation and growth of Practo and how technology can aid in healthcare delivery.
