Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum have been the public face for blockchain-based technologies for several years now. However, the interest in the underlying infrastructure has steadily grown among individuals, companies and investors.

One such firm that seeks to invest in early- and growth-stage companies in the larger distributed ledger technology (DLT) segment is Woodstock Fund.

The investment firm was set up last year by Pranav Sharma and Himanshu Yadav, with marquee angel investor Anderson Tan joining a little later as a managing partner.

In a conversation with VCCircle, Sharma explains the thesis behind the creation of the Woodstock Fund, as well as its strategy of not restricting its investments to India alone.

He also talks about developments in the domestic regulatory environment, and why he and his firm are bullish on Indian participation in the global DLT ecosystem.
