Online assessment firm CoCubes buys educational institutes-focused CRM startup Edcited

Gurgaon-based CoCubes Technologies Pvt Ltd which owns and operates online assessment and campus hiring platform has acquired city-based Edcited, which provides enterprise resource planning solutions to schools and colleges, the company said in a statement.

The size of the deal is not disclosed. 

Edcited's flagship solution allows integration of management, students and faculty, helping institutions deliver curriculum and real time updates of students to parents.

"This acquisition will help strengthen our technology team. We have been growing at a fast pace and constantly working on making online assessments more scalable and secure. With Edcited on board, we will have access to a very strong technology team and this deal will help us pace our targets faster," said Harpreet Singh Grover, co-founder and CEO of CoCubes.

CoCubes was founded in 2007 by Harpreet Singh Grover and Vibhore Goyal, alumni of IIT Bombay. It runs assessments to measure employability across domains ranging from programming to plumbing.  It works with over 750 corporate clients to execute entry level and lateral assessments and has access to over a million candidates. It runs over a million assessments each year thus helping clients reduce interview bandwidth.

The firm says it is working with over 450 companies and 2,600 colleges. It claims to have facilitated assessment of over 1 million students.
