Cyber resilience startup Mitigata, game developer Shortgun, and voice AI startup Rifa AI have raised funding in separate early-stage rounds, the companies said on Monday. 

Mitigata has raised $5.9 million (around Rs 51.7 crore) in Series A funding led by Nexus Venture Partners, with participation from existing investors Titan Capital and WEH Ventures.

The startup, which operates a cyber-resilience platform and acts as an insurance broker focused on cyber insurance, will use the to accelerate the development of its AI-powered security and risk-management platform, improve its cyber-resilience services, and scale operations across major cities in India and international markets.

It will also increase its hiring across security, insurance, and compliance functions. 

Mitigata, founded by Mohit Anand, Sarthak Dubey, Mayank Morya, and Akshit Kaushik, provides an integrated solution for cybersecurity and compliance through a single platform. It uses AI to offer real-time visibility and actionable insights.

The company plans to set up three global security operations centers (SOCs) in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Delhi.

Shortgun

Game-development studio Shortgun has secured $1 million (around Rs 8.7 crore) in a seed round led by angel investors and a family office to accelerate the development of its third-person shooter game.

Co-founded by the developers of the online game Rogue Heist, the capital raised will primarily support pre-production and development of the company's shooter game’s Minimum Viable Product (MVP), and it may also used for hiring. The startup plans to raise an additional $5 million in the next round.

Shortgun Games is a game-development studio founded by Vidhit Mehta. The company is building third-person shooter (TPS) games for PC and console, with a focus on delivering narrative-driven gameplay.

Conversational AI platform Rifa AI has raised $1.1 million (around Rs 9.6 crore) in funding led by Seaborne Capital to expand its presence abroad and improve the technology. 

The startup, backed by NASSCOM and FalconX, will use this capital infusion to scale up its operations in North America, while improving its conversational AI platform for call centers. The funding will also support the development of highly compliant, modular and scalable voice solutions for regulated industries, such as healthcare, insurance, and financial services.

Rifa AI, founded by Sameer Fulzele and Shubham Khoker, operates a platform that helps contact centres rebuild their operations around artificial intelligence rather than human labour. Its conversational AI platform deploys voice AI agents at scale.
