Gurgaon-based Indiabulls Power Ltd, a company engaged in the production and distribution of electricity, has roped in Jayant Kawale as managing director, the company said in a filing.
Kawale, an ex-IAS officer, has over one and half decades of leadership experience in the power sector.
Prior to joining Indiabulls, he was working with Jindal Power Ltd as MD where he was incharge of developing three large hydro power projects in Arunachal Pradesh.
He has also worked with Bharat Forge Ltd and has previously headed the Maharashtra State Electricity Board and served as secretary, energy in state government of Maharashtra and as joint secretary, Ministry of Power, government of India.
“Jayant Kawale brings with him a unique combination of strong administrative capabilities from the government sector and rich leadership experience from the power sector. We are very happy to have Kawale as part of Indiabulls Power Ltd. family,” said Rajiv Rattan, the founder chairman of the company.

Founded in 2007, Indiabulls Power, a part of Indiabulls Group, operates as a subsidiary of Indiabulls Infrastructure and Power Ltd.
