GE Capital Appoints Vicky Bindra As The CEO Of Its India Ops

GE Capital has appointed Vicky Bindra as president and chief executive of its financial services business in India with immediate effect following the global reorganisation of the firm.He will now lead GE's all consumer as well as commercial finance businesses including strategic partnerships such as SBI Cards. 

Assuming the levers in a downturn, Bindra will look at re-focusing GEs financial services presence in India on long-term growth sectors and invest in businesses with high-growth and high-margin platforms, the company said in a statement.

" Though market volatility remains a significant challenge for us in the short term, we remain committed to playing an active role in India s financial services sector in the future,"he said commenting on his appointment.

Bindra, a banking and finance professional with over 14 years of global experience in the industry, joined GE in 2007 as President and CEO of GE Commercial Finance India.

  

GE - Capital Solutions, India, has an asset base of  $1.2 billion and is spread over a network covering 21 branches across 40 locations in India. The company employs more than 200 people in India.
