In Charts: How India’s software services exports grew in recent years

06 December, 2016

India’s software services exports have been growing over the years but there have been some reasons to worry of late.

The pace of growth in India’s export of computer software and information technology-enabled services as well as business process outsourcing companies sharply moderated during 2015-16 in US dollar terms, according to a Reserve Bank of India report.

Industry body Nasscom last month cut its growth outlook for export revenue to 8-10% from 10-12% previously for 2016-17 amid global macroeconomic headwinds and weak earnings by Indian IT companies.

Here is a quick look at India’s software services exports and which segments and countries account for the most revenue.
