Aerospace startup Airbound, wealth-management firm Nexedge Capital and industrial-technology startup Akron AI have raised fresh funding.

Bengaluru-based aerospace startup Airbound has raised $37 million (around Rs 354 crore) in a Series A round led by Greenoaks, with participation from DoorDash, Lachy Groom, Lightspeed and Humba Ventures.

The company, founded in 2023 by Naman Pushp, is developing autonomous transport aircraft. The fresh capital will be used to accelerate engineering, commercial-scale manufacturing and go-to market efforts, taking Airbound’s total funding to nearly $50 million since its launch.

Airbound said it has completed more than 1,000 autonomous flights with zero mission failures in partnership with Narayana Health, transporting diagnostic samples between healthcare facilities.

It has also signed an agreement with the Andhra Pradesh government to build a drone delivery network connecting three cities, with plans to scale up to 10,000 daily flights for retail, e-commerce and healthcare deliveries. The company says its aircraft are designed to reduce the weight required to carry payloads, with a longer-term ambition to extend the technology from cargo to passenger transport.

Nexedge Capital

New Delhi-based wealth management and multi-family office firm Nexedge Capital has raised $20 million (around Rs 191 crore) in its maiden funding round led by Mirae Asset Venture Investment and Elev8 Venture Partners

The company plans to use the capital to strengthen its technology platform, expand its senior banker network and presence across India, including tier II and III cities.

Founded in February 2025 by Anirudha Taparia, formerly co-founder and joint CEO of 360 One Wealth, Nexedge has scaled to more than $3 billion in assets under management across around 1,300 clients within 18 months, according to the company. It has onboarded more than 95 senior bankers, with another 50 to 60 expected to join in 2026.

Akron AI, an industrial technology startup, has raised $1 million (around Rs 9.5 crore) in pre-seed funding led by Theia Ventures to build high-efficiency electronically commutated (EC) fans for commercial and industrial buildings in India.

The Bengaluru-based company is developing the motor controller, firmware and integration technology in-house, with its fans designed for Indian grid conditions and component-level repairability. Its units have been deployed at two international airports, a hyperscale logistics facility, two multinational corporate campuses, a metro rail authority headquarters and two private universities, said a statement issued by the company.

The funding will support Akron’s efforts to build out its technology and scale up deployments, with a longer-term plan to use performance telemetry from installed fans to develop a software layer for equipment-level intelligence. The company aims to eventually extend its control architecture to other motor-driven applications such as pumps, blowers and compressors.

Akron was founded by Angad Deep Singh, who previously worked in construction and building systems in the US.

Kolkata-based religion tech and puja booking platform Utsav has raised Rs 36 crore (around $3.8 million) in a Series A round led by Atomic Capital, with existing investors India Quotient and Equanimity Investments also participating.

The fresh capital will be used to expand its temple network and offerings, deepen personalisation and discovery, improve fulfilment and logistics, and expand services for the Indian diaspora.

Founded by Sourajit Basu, Ankita De and Prajata Samanta, Utsav enables devotees to book pujas at temples, receive e-prasad and consecrated prasad, consult verified pandits and participate in rituals remotely.

The company works with temple priests, scholars and acharyas to facilitate rituals and is looking to build a digital network connecting devotees, temples and rituals across India and overseas.

Bengaluru-based climate tech startup CarbonStrong has raised Rs 12.5 crore (around $1.3 million) in a seed round co-led by IAN Angel Fund, with participation from Rainmatter, Social Alpha, Spectrum Impact and Full Circle Ventures.

Founded in 2022 by Harsh Jain and Vikramaditya Singh, the company develops low-carbon cement substitutes from industrial waste that it claims can replace up to 50% of cement in concrete.

The company plans to use the fresh capital to set up its first production facility, expand its team, undertake further product development and testing, and move from customer trials to commercial-scale production.

The company aims to build capacity of up to 100,000 tonnes a year over the next two years. CarbonStrong has conducted customer trials and paid pilots across Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai, and is now targeting long-term supply relationships with ready-mix concrete companies, builders, contractors, precast concrete and paver block manufacturers.
