Aegis Acquires CCN Group of South Africa

Essar Group’s business process outsourcing (BPO) provider, Aegis Limited has fully acquired CCN Group PTY Ltd., a contact center outsourcing company in South Africa. This will mark Aegis’12th acquisition, since its inception.

 

CCN Group has been in the BPO business for the last 7 years and registered revenues in excess of Rs 150 million ($19 million) for FY 2008-09. It has a capacity of 700 seats and has over 1000 employees operating out of 2 facilities.

 

Aparup Sengupta, Global CEO and Managing Director of Aegis Limited said, “CCN is a strategic fit for Aegis. This combined entity will offer CCN’s clients and prospects an expanded set of solutions and services from a broader geographic delivery platform.”

 

In October last year, Aegis had acquired the NASDAQ listed outsourcing firm, PeopleSupport, Inc. the company is also in the process of acquiring UCMS, another BPO services provider in Australia, which is still awaiting regulatory approvals. Aegis has already signed a definitive agreement to acquire all of the shares of UCMS Group Limited through an all cash transaction with an aggregate equity value of approximately AUD 54 million.
