US-based Interactive Intelligence buys Indian SaaS firm Customer360

Contact center solutions provider Interactive Intelligence Group Inc has acquired Mumbai-based SaaS firm Customer360 for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition enables the NASDAQ-listed Interactive Intelligence to expand its services around customer engagement and cloud-based business communications, Jeff Swartz, vice president of development for Interactive Intelligence, said in a press statement.

As part of the deal, all 30 employees of Customer360 Inc would join Interactive Intelligence.

Customer360 offers a customer engagement platform that integrates video chat and mobile apps for helpdesk services. It provides SaaS-based tools for video chat, screen sharing and in-app support.

Customer360 claims to work with about 1,000 customers, including names such as Housing.com, Yatra and CCAvenue besides others.

The startup was founded in 2013 by Mitul Thakkar (CEO) and Mayuresh Shilotri (CEO). A former Yahoo executive, Thakkar has a master degree in computer science from State University of New York. Shilotri is a former Cognizant executive with an MBA from IIT Madras.

“This acquisition is a testimony to B2B startups in India. Our team has worked hard to reinforce the fact that global products can be developed here,” Thakkar said.

The US-based Interactive Intelligence provides enterprise software/ cloud services for customer engagement and unified communications. The company has an office in Hyderabad.
