Strategy advisory firm Parthenon elevates two as partners in India

The Parthenon Group, an advisory firm focused on strategy consulting, has elevated two executives in India to the partner level strengthening the firm’s leadership in the country. Amit Garga has been made the partner to lead private equity and education practices in Mumbai while Abhinav Mital have been named as a partner in the same domain for Mumbai/Singapore offices.

The promotions became effective on January 1, 2014.

Bill Achtmeyer, chairman and managing partner of The Parthenon Group said, “Now as partners, they will help us deepen our roots as we expand our global network, bringing their considerable expertise to bear across their relevant practices.”

Amit Garga, based in the Mumbai office, has advised the largest global operators and private equity investors in the education sector across segments, including K-12, higher education, study abroad, vocational training and English language training in developed and emerging markets.

Additionally, he has broad experience in healthcare and industrial goods and services sectors. Prior to joining Parthenon, he worked as assistant vice president (Strategy) for Entertainment Network India Ltd. (Times of India Group) and as an associate with AT Kearney.

Abhinav Mital, who works out of both Mumbai and Singapore offices, has advised some of the largest education companies in the world including private K-12, study abroad companies, and higher education companies in India and France. He has worked on a wide variety of client needs, including business expansion strategy, new market entry, performance improvement, brand and marketing strategy, partnership development, M&A, and commercial due diligences, as per a company statement.
