New Silk Route (NSR), a Mauritius–based private equity firm investing into India has elevated four executives in its Mumbai and New York offices.
NSR has promoted Shantanu Nalavadi to partner, Nithin Kaimal to principal and Rajan Singh to vice-president of NSR Advisors in its Mumbai office, while Harsha Misra is made principal, NSR Partners in New York.
Parag Saxena, founding general partner and CEO, NSR, said in a statement, “We have strengthened our worldwide team by promoting people who will help spearhead core opportunities in various important sectors.”
NSR currently has $1.4 billion in assets under management, and has been investing actively in India, South Asia, Middle East and other emerging economies of Asia. It invests in infrastructure, telecommunications, manufacturing, IT, consumer services and financial services space. The fund has made 12 investments since 2007 and is looking at more deals in the next one year.
