US-based technology and financial solutions provider Meridian Group International has set up an India unit to expand its presence in Asia Pacific.
Meridian IT (India) Pvt Ltd will extend the reach of the Meridian IT Global Support Centre, which services and maintains clients’ infrastructure worldwide, the company said in a statement. The India entry comes after the company set up shop in Australia and Singapore.
"Many of our current global customers have operations in India and now we are able to support them locally,” said Ian Pye, chairman, Meridian Group.
“Meridian IT India is well positioned to provide business solutions and global support to our worldwide client base,” added Nick King, chief operating officer, Meridian IT.
The company has also appointed Krishnan Subramanian as country head of sales at Meridian IT India. Krishnan previously worked with a network integration company for 15 years and has total work experience of 25 years, the statement said.
Meridian Group operates in Europe, Asia-Pacific and America. Meridian Leasing Corporation is one of the largest independent equipment lessors in the US.
