Ahmedabad-based Apps wWhere Software Pvt Ltd—which is behind wWhere, an app that helps users exchange location details—has raised $100,000 (about Rs 62.6 lakh) from Ashim Mehra, vice president of New York-based Baron Capital; and Anunay Gupta, co-founder of Marketelligent (acquired by data giant Brillio), among others. The round also saw participation from IIM-A’s business incubator CIIE.

"We are working for a global launch, targeting countries in Asia, Australia and Europe," said Ritam Bhatnagar, founder, Apps wWhere Software.

The company was founded in September 2013 by Bhatnagar, a management graduate who is also a filmmaker. The app, which is slated to be launched next month, helps exchange location details between users.

“Postal addresses are still a major way to communicate location details. But, often it is difficult to locate addresses. That is why we thought of a location details-exchange app,” said Bhatnagar.

The firm claims, in private beta, the app saw over 500 downloads since September 2014.
