Law firm BMR Legal has appointed Roshan Thomas and Siddharth Nair as partners in the firm's corporate M&A and private equity practice, the company said in a release. The firm has also opened its Bangalore office.
Both the partners will be based in Bangalore. Both Thomas and Nair joined BMR from Bangalore-based law firm Themis and Associates.
Thomas has more than 11 years of experience in advising clients on a range of cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity & venture capital backed deals. He has been involved with a host of fund formation and foreign JVs and has advised clients on securities regulations.
Prior to joining Themis and Associates, he has worked with Lexygen (Bangalore) and Nishith Desai & Associates (Mumbai).
Nair, who has over nine years of experience in advising clients on a range of mergers & acquisitions and corporate restructuring transactions with expertise in structured finance deals, has had his own law practice before working with Themis and Associates.
Thomas and Nair hold law degrees from National Academy of Legal Studies and Research University, Hyderabad and National Law School of India University, Bangalore, respectively.

BMR Legal offers tax litigation and corporate M&A services to clients. It has four partners and 30 associates with offices in New Delhi, Chennai and Mumbai.
