SSBA Innovations Pvt Ltd, which runs fintech startup Taxbuddy.com, has secured $2 million (around Rs 16 crore) in a funding led by existing investor United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based fund Zenith Global.

Other existing investors also participated in this funding round.

“Most important aspect, which has been neglected till date, is advisory automation. Advisory automation is the next big thing in fintech. At Taxbuddy.com, we have been focused on the same since the beginning,” said Sujit Bangar, Founder of Taxbuddy.com.

Bangar also mentioned that this funding will help Taxbuddy enhance its technology capabilities.

Launched in 2019, Taxbuddy.com is a Mumbai-based fintech startup from SSBA innovations which provide tax solutions to individuals, professionals and businesses. These services are rendered directly through Taxbuddy App and taxbuddy.com portal.

For individuals; it does tax planning, tax return filing and tax issues (notice and scrutiny) management. For businesses, it provides GST registration, GST returns filing and issues management.

"Taxbuddy.com has a laser-sharp focus on advisory automation. Therefore, Taxbuddy is well-positioned to lead the digital tax advisory space and this makes them confident about the way forward," Zenith Global said in a statement.

In December 2020, Taxbuddy.com raised $1 million (about Rs 7.4 crore) in an early-stage fundraise from Zenith Global.
