Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd has roped in Maneesha Jha Thakur from L&T Finance as group head, human resource, the company said in a release.
Maneesha has over two decades of experience in the HR vertical, and is a specialist in the BFSI, telecom and IT sectors.
Prior to joining Edelweiss, Maneesha was working with L&T Finance as group head – human resources where she provided HR leadership to businesses including retail financing, infrastructure financing, micro finance, general insurance and mutual funds.
Prior to L&T Finance, she worked with Reliance Life Insurance Company Ltd as the chief human resources officer.
“Maneesha comes with wealth of experience which is vital for this leadership role, and I am extremely pleased to have her on board. I am confident that under her able leadership, Edelweiss will be able to scale greater heights and successfully transition into the next growth phase," said Rujan Panjwani, executive director, Edelweiss Financial Services.
She holds a post graduate degree in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
Mumbai-based Edelweiss functions through four clusters—credit, financial markets & asset management, life insurance and commodities. The firm has 216 offices in 118 cities in India and abroad, and employs over 4,285 people.
Last month, it roped in Riyaz Marfatia from HDFC Bank as managing partner for its global wealth management service.
