Event Description:	VC Circle is presenting the first of its kind confluence of venture capitalists and private equity investors in Pune on April 4, 2008. It will be the largest ever gathering in Pune of investors, dealmakers and companies in and around the city and other parts of the state of Maharashtra like Nasik, Kolhapur, Aurangabad and New Bombay. Why a VC/PE event in a city like Pune? The idea is to go to cities which are the centres of innovation and entrepreneurship. Pune, for instance, is known for companies from thriving sectors like Engineering, IT&ITES, Education, Specialty Retail, Food Processing & Agro-based Industries, and Biotech. The time has come for the investors to go where the companies are. And they are indeed doing it. We have about 15 panelists - all top VC and PE partners and entrepreneurs who who have worked with investors - flying down to Pune on April 4 to discuss key issues of capital raising and the phenomenon of private equity. And many more from other cities. We look forward to having about 200 attendees - CEOs, investors, bankers and others - at the event.
