Sri Adhikari Brothers To Raise $15 Million

Sri Adhikari Brothers Television Network Ltd (SABTNL), a Mumbai-based entertainment TV network, is planning to raise up to $15 million either through a domestic public issue or a private placement, reports Indiantelevision. The board has also approved routes like GDRs, ADRs or FCCBs. The company plans to set up a studio in Mumbai. We will be finalising that within a month.

SABTNL is a new venture from the group, which now owns a channel called Janmat. The group, founded in 1995, started with SAB channel, which later in 2005 was sold to Sony Entertainment Television for $13 million.

The company was started in 1985 by brothers Gautam Adhikari and Markand Adhikari as a small family owned business. It later became the first publicly- listed television production company in India when it was listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange in 1995.
