IDG Ventures’ $150-Million India Fund I Launched; Based Out Of Bangalore
Technology publishing company International Data Group (IDG) has launched a $150 million venture fund for India. It will start investing from next October, IDG founder and Chairman Patrick McGovern told Venture Wire (sub. required) in an interview. IDG Ventures India Fund I was launched in July which will essentially invest in early-stage technology companies. It will be based out of Bangalore.
The Boston-based technology media publisher has a network of venture capital affiliates in Boston, San Francisco, China and Vietnam. [Via VentureBeat]
