Xander Finance hires Rajeev Radhakrishnan from Goldman Sachs as CFO

Global investment firm The Xander Group Inc has hired Rajeev Radhakrishnan as chief financial officer (CFO) for its Indian NBFC arm, Xander Finance, the company said in a release.

Radhakrishnan joins Xander from Goldman Sachs, a global investment bank, where he worked for eight years and held various roles in Bangalore, New York and Mumbai. He was responsible for managing capital, liquidity, funding and banking relationships for Goldman Sachs across its businesses in India.

"We believe that he will enhance our team’s ability to deliver quality returns to our stakeholders in a dynamic regulatory environment. His appointment also reflects the focus The Xander Group has on building a large, evergreen, debt platform in India that adheres to global levels of governance and compliance," said Amar Merani, CEO of Xander Finance.

Before Goldman Sachs, Radhakrishnan had worked with Lodha & Co as audit assistant.

A chartered accountant by training, he obtained a degree in commerce from St Xavier’s College, Kolkata.

The Xander Group is a global investment firm focused on the infrastructure, hospitality, retail and real estate sectors. Since 2005, the firm has committed over $2 billion of equity capital to the Indian market across private, public and credit investments. Its NBFC arm in India has been particularly active in the real estate sector.
