Alok C. Misra, the former chief financial officer of WNS Group, has joined the global private equity major General Atlantic as a senior vice-president for its Indian operations. As part of the PE firm’s Resources Group, Misra will provide financial expertise and strategic counsel to its investment teams and portfolio companies. Most recently, Misra was working with the WNS Group as CFO and helped lead the company through significant expansion and transformation. Misra holds an honours degree in Commerce from the University of Calcutta.

General Atlantic manages around $18 billion in capital (including total committed capital and portfolio investments) and has more than 80 investment professionals based in New York, Greenwich, Connecticut and Palo Alto in the US. The firm's Indian team is led by Sandeep Naik, who joined the firm last December.
