Silicon Valley-based incubator-cum-seed fund 500 Startups has been ramping up its Indian operations proactively for some time now. It has already made around 10 investments in the country and with an India-dedicated micro fund (http://techcircle.vccircle.com/500/dave-mcclure-coming-up-with-5m-fund-u...) in place, 500 Startups is all set to impact the Indian startup ecosystem in a big way. Its latest accelerator batch, fifth so far, also has four Indian companies (http://techcircle.vccircle.com/500/four-indian-startups-picked-for-5th-a...) who qualified for the programme.

Techcircle.in caught up with the founder of 500 Startups, Dave McClure, and the Indian partners – Paul Singh and Pankaj Jain – to know more about the expansion plans in India. In a candid chat, the trio reveals their plans for India, the kind of companies they are looking for and the strategy behind the new micro funds. Watch the video for full interaction.
