Warburg Pincus-backed QuEST Global acquires US-based Beeken TechQuest

Bangalore-based QuEST Global Engineering Pvt Ltd has acquired US-based engineering firm Beeken TechQuest Ltd for an undisclosed amount. 

Post-acquisition, Beeken TechQuest and its Bangalore-based subsidiary UFT Beeken Engineering Services Pvt Ltd became part of QuEST Global. The acquisition will help the firm grow its oil & gas business.

Founded in 2004 by BN Murali, who was previously vice president of technology for Halliburton Energy Services, Beeken TechQuest provides engineering outsourcing for oil & gas business.

Its services include conversion of legacy CAD systems to current CAD systems, product customisation, sustaining engineering, engineering documentation, new product development, engineering analysis, prototyping and reverse engineering. The firm employs 42 people in India and 23 in Houston, Texas.

This acquisition will provide access to domain expertise and capabilities in upstream oil & gas engineering, strengthen its strategic delivery footprint in Texas, Oklahoma and Singapore by leveraging the local-global model and enhance engagement efficiency with existing oil & gas customers.

Founded by Aravind Melligeri and Prabhu in 1997, QuEST Global offers civil engineering, design automation and drafting and 3D modelling services. The Warburg Pincus-backed firm also offers manufacturing engineering, plant design engineering, project management and planning support services.

In December 2011, the firm acquired the engineering services division of UK-based GKN Aerospace Services Ltd for an undisclosed sum.
