US-based eMedEvents Corporation, an online medical conference information and speaker platform serving medical education needs of doctors, has announced $1.25 million investment and strategic tie-up with OMICS International, an organiser of scientific conferences.
The online medical conference platform was launched in India recently. The company was advised by consulting firm Akasam Consulting.
eMedEvents, a start-up company founded by Priya Korrapati, has launched its new online medical conference related information and ticketing system for doctors. The search-based website includes a database of over 23,000 medical events across the world and will be matching healthcare providers with conferences they can attend in order to earn continuing medical education (CME) credits.
Launched already in the US, the platform has 3,500 medical conference organisers and 23,000 medical conferences, besides 300 plus online-CME courses and 50,000 medical speakers registered with the platform.
The tie-up will also help create or search for healthcare speaker profiles, CME credit tracking, medical event promotion for conference organisers and board review courses and it will give the doctors a one-stop shop to serve their daily digital needs pertaining to CME.
